A week ago I posted "An Important Question."
Today I created a poll that you can find on the right side of the blog to address this question.
Unlike the vapid two-party system we're under in America, the poll offers eight choices for your vote.
The poll closes at midnight on July 4th.

You forgot to include microwave burrito.
I'll see if I can add it.
I checked, and I can't add a field once a poll has been published.
We'll consider you post a write-in candidate, a candidate that's noteworthy but unlikely to win like Ross Perot and John Anderson.
That's ok I voted Ice Cream Sandwich...which is a close second to the Chaco-taco, can you still get those?
I haven't seen a Chaco-taco in years, Chuck. I bet they're still around though.
I just wanted to note that Mrs. Nasty has issues with the poll including Doritos because she considers a Dorito a "chip." I, on the other hand, see the Dorito as a chemical-laden tortilla chip.
I think her real motivation is that the Dorito will steal votes away from her beloved potato chip.
She also doesn't like that I'm putting up brand name products (Oreo, Triscuit, Cheetos) in the competition.
So it goes.
Duly noted, dear. Duly noted.
I ended up voting for the ice cream sandwich, since I've decided to understand this question as "what manufactured food product is as good or better than a home made equivalent?". This puts cheese infused crackers and the more outre chips in a good position (can a single human being make cheetos?) but disadvantages the potato chip (sorry Diana) since you can make excellent ones at home, but the packaged variety is pretty darned good. Though I briefly championed the snickers bar, candy bars never felt like a good fit in this competition for some reason. So I'm going for the ice cream sandwich. I've had versions made with home made cookies and premium ice cream, but they were just not as good as the store-bought kind. Have I been thinking too much about this? Probably. I'm going to try to stop now, after making a couple of additions to the shopping list.
P.S. I saw choco-tacos at Walmart yesterday.
Mmmmm ... choco tacos.
I'm surprised by the strength of the Oreo in this poll.
After Mrs. Nasty made me rediscover Zapp's potato chips this past week (perhaps a ploy to influence my vote), my vote for the ice cream sandwich has wavered a bit, but I'm staying strong. Well played though, Mrs. Nasty.
