It's yet another day in Dumbfuckistan, there's an octagonal cage being erected on the front lawn of the White House.

Truly deplorable. 

I watched part of the MLS match between LAFC and the Seattle Sounders the other. Wow. Since I'm used to watching the Premier League, I found it astounding how slow the MLS match was. 

It makes sense if one takes into account how countries' football leagues are ranked. 

Like other entities' rankings, the Opta Power Rankings rank the Premier League as the number one ranked league in the world, whereas the MLS is ranked 19th behind the leagues in Belgium (ranked 7th), Portugal (8th), the English Championship (9th), and the Netherlands (18th), among others. 

In fact, I think the English Championship, the second tier of English football, is ranked too low. 

For example, this Global Football Rankings site has the Championship ahead of Liga Portugal and the Eredivisie. However, they have the MLS ranked 10th, which is absolute nonsense. 

Tottenham Hotspure survived, finally. What a terrible season. 

The club needs to spend smartly in the off season and offload players who are not part of De Zebi's plans. 

However, with so many players coming back from injuries - Kulusevski, Simons, Kudus, Odobert, Solanke, and Romero - it might be difficult to acquire a lot of players with only the league and cups to play in. 

Like Ben on WeAreTottenhamTV (YouTube channel), I want Vuskovic to "bed in" next season and play a lot because I think, like many others, that Romero is gone this summer.

I'd like to keep Papa Matar Sarr even though some people want to sell him because the club have so many midfielders right now in addition to Jamie Donley, Alfie Devine, and Yang Min-Hyeok coming back after being on loan.

Eating establishments putting up campaign signs for candidates makes it easy to not frequent them. 

For example, a couple of eating establishments in our town have signs up for Mary Miller for our representative in the House. Based on her TV commercials that are all over the local channels, she appears to be bat-shit crazy. 

During the commercials she talks about the spectre of "Godless socialism," how she supports Moscow Don "draining the swamp," and how she's a "Christian." 

The somewhat humorous aspect of the ads is that she has this weird Marge-Simpson-like voice that's a bit disconcerting. 

As I've written about somewhat, I've been watching Premier League soccer this year because I enjoy it. I watched an MLS game today, and it's clear MLS is the AA or AAA of soccer leagues in terms of quality. 

Regardless, I hope the St. Louis soccer club is a strong one. 

Watching the XFL has been interesting. I think the NFL should adopt how they do kickoffs because the way they do it is much safer. 

The three different levels of point/s after touchdown are interesting. 

Let's go Battle Hawks.

The Premier League season got off to a start a couple of weeks ago. I've been watching Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves matches. 

St. Louis finally got awarded a MLS franchise, which is a big deal. After the Rams left, I thought that city would have gotten MLS franchise more quickly. 

Like this columnist for the Post-Dispatch, I'm wondering what the team will be called: "MLS Is Coming, but What Will the St. Louis Team Be Called?" 

I just hope they don't go with the copycat names like FC St. Louis and St. Louis United. 

Here's are monikers I'd consider, some of which come from the video:

• St. Louis Rivermen
• St. Louis Trailblazers
• St. Louis Spirit

If they're smart, the GM will recruit well known Bosnian futbol players because St. Louis has such a large Bosnian immigrant population.
