Thomas Friedman has a great column on how oil addiction and lack of direction from our fearless leaders.
I whole-heartedly agree with Mr. Friedman’s points in his article. The famous “but”……………8/11………….That is what gas will be if there is a tropical storm or any conflicts b/w any of the yahoos in the Middle East.
This is America, and we should be able to have both full born green approaches and petroleum that does not go above what the cost is today. The transformation cannot happen over night - The transition away from oil dependency will take time and a multi-faceted treatment approach, just as it would for individuals trying to kick addictive substances.
