Very nice, TG Dem.

Voluptuous is a great word. To go along with blowhard, I also like "windbag."

I looked up the definition for "clusterfuck" with some trepidation. I'd heard the term, but not in a context that made its meaning clear. It makes sense now. "Soul butter" is the big winner for me, though. I'll swap you "trepidation" for it. And throw in "penultimate," which has many household uses.

New winner: "defensive indifference." Sporting & computer lingo often demonstrate a particularly imaginative form of precision.

I'm not a fan of penultimate--one of those "college-sounding" words.

Trepidation is a good one. The sound of it matches the feeling it presents.

Then I won't have to share "antepenultimate" with you--but I think you're missing out.

Haberdasher, wainscotting, and (just to prove I don't only read English novels) irrational exuberance (remember?).

Babe, what are your thoughts on cognitive dissonance?

I love cognitive dissonance! I must love it, because it goes on in my brain all the time, and I couldn't possibly hate something that goes on in my brain all the time, right? (It's one of the only concepts I recall clearly from Intro Psych. Luckily it seems to account for a great deal of the utterly baffling ways human beings behave. Good thing I stayed awake for that class.)
