Music Friday: "The Life You Chose" & "Speed Trap Town"

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit performed on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. They played the uptempo "If It Takes a Lifetime."

That's a good song, but it is outshone by the quadrivium of songs later in Something More Than Free: "Children of Children," "The Life You Chose," "Something More Than Free," and "Speed Trap Town."

Here are "The Life You Choose" and "Speed Trap Town."

Yeah, I check in often. We have some similar tastes in music. I tend like live music. The proof in the pudding to me is can you play live. That being said, if you are interested I can send you some links to live bootleg sites where you can download live shows. Here are a couple sites that have a wide variety of live music. You may already know of these sites.

Sugarmegs have the entire concert in one .mp3 file which can be annoying, but they have thousands of shows, including a bunch of Isbell shows. Browse the shows by artist by using the letter links. The other site seems to have music you may be interested in. Let me know what you think and I will throw some more your way.

Hope you and your family are doing well. Good to touch base with you.
